The notes immediately below (numbered 1 -9) are from the previous Steering Group meeting. The comments in bold have been added since and refer to the draft policies below (WP 1 -6) and those submitted previously (GP 1 – 15):

DRAFT POLICIES FOR THE WEST PARK POLICY AREA (v.1)
WP1 Subject to the requirements of other relevant policies in the Neighbourhood Plan, the Local Planning Authority will encourage and support development within the West Park Policy Area that contributes to the social and economic well-being of the area and preserves or enhances environmental quality.
WP2 The area indicated on the Proposals Map as “The Railway Triangle” is designated as a “Community Greenspace”. Future development on this area should be restricted to uses of an open nature benefitting the cultural and social well-being and environmental quality of the area.
WP3 The area indicated on the Proposals Map as “The Fairground Site” will be retained as an open, mainly hard-surfaced, area for a variety of uses including car-parking, the holding of open markets, and the annual Hull Fair. Proposals for other uses requiring planning permission will be considered in the light of all other relevant policies in the Neighbourhood Plan.
WP4 The provision of planted / landscaped areas within “The Fairground Site” as shown on the Proposals Map, will be encouraged where such provision would not prejudice existing or future uses of the land and suitable ongoing maintenance provisions are put in place as part of the development proposals.
WP5 Subject to other relevant policies in the Neighbourhood Plan, new development associated with existing use(s) within the area indicated on the Proposals Map as “The KCOM Stadium” will be allowed as long as sufficient car and coach parking and vehicle delivery facilities are retained to serve all existing and proposed users of the site and all other material planning considerations are satisfied.
WP6 Subject to the provisions of other policies in the Neighbourhood Plan and all other material planning considerations, the Local Planning Authority will encourage the use of existing buildings and land within the “Public Recreation Area” as shown on the Proposals Map for uses that benefit the social well-being of the area and will preserve or enhance environmental quality.
